ATHENA travels to POMPEII…

ATHENA project will join the ‘Geophysics and Remote Sensing For Archaeology” school held in Pompeii between 9th – 13th of May 2016. During the course ATHENA team members will present an overview, objective and goals of the project to the school participants, while they will follow some interesting courses related to data collection, processing and interpretation for geophysical techniques (GPR, magnetic, ERT), passive and active remote sensing and low-cost approaches based on the use of UAV, all oriented for preservation and monitoring for cultural heritage sites and monuments.

In addition, a specific invited lecture entitled “Ground-truth spectroradiometric data for archaeological applications” will be given by Dr. Athos Agapiou, from CUT.

ATHENA project supports the event.
