Cyprus Embraces Space 2016

The Cyprus University of Technology, Eratosthenes Research Center, presented by Dr. Kyriakos Themistocleous at the “Cyprus Embraces Space 2016” Conference, under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Transport, Communications & Works on 18 May, 2016. The subject of the presentation was “Space and Remote Sensing Technologies: the Applications and Benefits for the Society and Economy in Cyprus”, where the Eratosthenes Research Center past and present activities were presented in the field of remote sensing. A special mention was given to the ATHENA project, which focuses on creating a center of excellence on remote sensing for archaeology in Cyprus. Presentation were given by delegates from DLR, the European Commission, H2020 Space and Cosmos2020.
